About “How Are You Feeling?”

Two years ago I truly began working towards managing my mental health. I have seen multiple psychiatrists and psychologists trying to find medications and coping mechanisms that would make living with my mental illnesses easier. In these past 2 years I have tried dozens of medications and have yet to find ones that work for me. Switching doctors, medications and feeling so many different things made me feel alone in my diagnoses. I would always turn to the internet to look up a new medication, something I was feeling or just to hear about others experiences. However, I found little comfort in the medical journals, WebMD articles and Redit pages written by adults years ago.

I decided to start “How Are You Feeling?” so that people like me could share their stories while also being able to read others’ experiences. I wanted to create a space where struggling high schoolers and 20 somethings can read relatable, casual articles to feel less alone in their mental health journeys. My story won’t be the same as yours and your story won’t be the same as someone else's, but maybe hearing from someone else’s perspective can help comfort or inspire you.
